Freedom of the Butterfly

Chitter chatter chitter chatter on the phone with friends for hours and hours

Whiling away time now I am alone in this place we once called home

So much has changed since you have been gone

My life is trying to move on

The constant stress you did create is taken over by another stress but one trying not to hate

Things are so different now my life has changed but your presence still remains

Within my mind you have such power but I will weaken your power hour by hour

And though these times do torture me I will be strong and my memories of you will grow weak

And out of this trauma I like a BUTTERFLY will grow strong wings

And I will flutter past you and you will hear me sing

You won't recognise me for happy I will be

For you have now become a distant memory

That no longer has  power to hurt me

For now I am me

I AM FREE
