Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

News of broken heart

Her smile could light up life, yet I couldn't keep it
Her touch was magical, yet I couldn't keep it
Her laugh was live music, yet I couldn't keep it
Her smarts made thinking fits, yet I couldn't keep it

Why couldn't I keep it? That's where the story starts
Shall I follow details and embark on tirade
Or remember the love in a vacuumed grenade
Seizing all the moments as eruption in hearts

Handling the bitter news with a smiling window
To a world without pain is a tremendous fear
Yet succumbing pressure of releasing a tear

Closing finally eyes and grasping the pillow
Memories of cuddles and moments of sharing
Withstanding the current as I still have caring
