These questions my heart needs to know

Sitting here with my mind in doubt

It seems like something's troubling you

It's making me think something else is on your mind

Am I all you ever nee

Could you sit there and say you're truly happy with just me

I sit here and think about what else it could be

A future I do see

Do you see it too, and are you wanting to even say I do

Could I always call on you, and you would be right there

To help guide me if I ever got lost would you be near

To wipe away my tears as I sit and tell you all my fears

Would you do the same and say you want me there too

To kiss you on your cheeks and tell you everythings ok

If so what would you say

Could we play games and laugh for hours of the night

As we share new memories

Would I  be all that you call

When you are feeling low

These are all the questions my heart needs to know

If I lost sight could you be my light

My friend my love my soul mate my life

Could you sit there and tell me one day

You really see me being your wife

This poem rings with sincerity, and surely reflects the thoughts of many young persons, boy or girl, contemplating a 'life-long' commitment. It is a fine 'list', maybe more of the 'head' than the 'heart'. But absolutely worth 'drawing up' for deep consideration, by both parties.

An excellent subject.
