COULD IT BE

Life throws us around

surrounds us with confusion

The puzzles untwist

showing a list of could be's

They reveal themselves...

Could it be

That I have

walked into the magic place

of paradise

For there he is

the one that I was looking for

the one that was looking for me

Could it be

This was meant to be

just as it was

The ups and downs

the joy and frowns

Melting and molding

us into what we were to

become

Could it be

We will finally be free

to unleash the passion

deep in our hearts

Depart from the pain

walk out of the rain

Into eternal sunshine

Could it be?

Thank you Cynthia. Yes learning from the past is why "Could it be" was the theme. Hope springs eternal and that is just about it... Hope. So agree with you my friend but wouldn't it be great if eternal sunshine "could be" true?

Much appreciated.

The final 'thought' made me gasp with a little pain; it was the word 'eternal'. Made me want to say 'Not likely!' And I felt mean-spirited, when the 'writer' was trying to be so positive. And I'm thinking: 'She hasn't learned a thing from past experience.'

Therefore, a good poem, embracing a very important theme.
