Myself

clear blue night skies
I think I finally found myself at 25
always been that late bloomer
what a nice cool breeze
I found love in Minnesota
love for myself
love for another
I even learned how to smile
as if a beast could even smile
what are the odds
first time living in my birthplace
I finally found that I'm not worthless
got my heartbroken
of course the whole trip
brought out the real me
an optimist
what an experience
to know who I am
I even found god
and learned to let him in
it's funny I didn't even pray for this
I prayed for a sense of direction
all I wanted was a path
how can you find the right path
if you can't even find yourself
they say you can't love
if you don't love yourself
I got it backwards
found love
learned to love oneself
spent so long hiding away
yet trying to be perfect
that's the virgo curse
clear blue night skies
I think I finally found myself at 25
learned how to except pain
eyes wide open
no longer feel strange
no longer feel caged
can look straight into the mirror
love the man that I face
love the fears and the breath I taste
the way that I walk
the way that I talk
no longer lost
let me tell you who I am
a southern Charm speaking
good hearted man
that will dance in the rain
sing whenever I can
praises the lord
my heart on my sleeve
not afraid to give love
or to take the risk
I have no regrets
no fear of growing old
don't care much for time
talk to me
nothing but peace on my mind
there's not a soul person place or thing
that can ever fuck with my grind
wether you with me or your not
I don't give no shits if you're friend or foe
if you ain't rocking with me
then you fucking with my growth
I don't care about rumors or gossip
or what you've been told
I know who I am
I'll scream or yell if I must
I am that the man that I trust
I finally found myself at 25
I drive its up to you
if you wanna ride
after all it's Minnesota clear
blue night skies
I'm going miles
even if the sun don't ever rise
