I dreamt of a girl.

I dreamt of a girl.

She wore ribbons in her hair, said it was

“Because the wind longs to dance with it”

A faraway look her eyes, like a woman

Who had travelled to madness and back

Returned with only one truth, that love

Is the only thing worth going mad with

The curves of her body hugged her dress

Like a serpent exploring a new layer of skin

Intuition of a witch and vision of a hawk

She talked to trees and flowers, I saw that

When she whispered they listened and grew

Coquettish yet unobtainable

A pagan desire grew inside of me

I kissed her and heaven turned black

We fell to the floor and stars descended

Birthed from the darkness of time

We made love under zodiac skies

Wet grass and racing hearts

Hands searching, teeth biting

I dreamt of a girl.

◄ She was the type of girl.
