Vertices

Vertices iv

Jan folded the letter
her finger formed an edge.

She looked up-
somebody was explaining functionality:

Platonic solids.

She stared:
the new argument was written
on the white board-

she returned to the letter-
another fold
another plain

pressing
opening,
rereading.

The diagrams explaining.
His words revealing

vertices missed;
he to the point.

Words realigned.
Sentences brokered
with each new configuration
its meaning reformed.

He was disengaged
she had been misplaced.

Incongruent.

She rose and left the room.
There would be many such lessons.

No Cynthia you have a good grasp of the verse but does it resonate?

Really intriguing - a bit complex but so interesting in the 'triple story' it evokes - the mental and physical and emotional conjoining at a 'vertex'. And the 'all-seeing eye' poking in at the end.

Or maybe I'm completely 'out to lunch'.
