Well the sky is reaching over,

I stare up at the sapphire stretch,

Over to where it meets the edge of the sea,

Meeting on the horizon,

The two effortlessly embraced, so hard to forget.

 

How is it then that two such opposite forces,

So mindless, they unify and co-exist,

Yet for the grandest sums of what all our experts know,

How, pray, then is it so,

That in ignorant hatred, so many still persist?

 

Wrapped in warped beliefs, how can it be so,

An eagle's head on a lion's body threatens all we've achieved,

Determined to undermine all of our best hopes,

That such an entity exists, years ago, I'd never have believed.

 

How is it, when they act as such;

That they think themselves the cure for the cancer?

The dawn is nearly upon us,

The darkest time is now,

And still they can't justify themselves with a straight answer.

 

It was said to not criticise,

Not to admonish that you don't understand,

I can't understand them,

But I criticise their actions,

To preserve the freedom of our land.

 

For a long time ago in a hapless state,

For such atrocities, branded then and forever,

As the marksman left his mark,

In cold blood, killing a man,

A man named Medgar Evers.

Whatever the case, a storm is brewing,

 

We, beyond any doubt, have to be prepared,

 

History's mistakes are ready for reapeat,

 

Who'd risk it,

 

Why can't they see, by doing so, it's everyone's future they impair.

 

 

A sickening sound in the dawn,

 

The works of tyrants serve as Bibles to their cause,

 

I fear they won't long be alone,

 

Their presence now is felt across the globe,

 

Should they take power, insanity will become wholly unified with the law.
