Train Tracks

They built the trains in the fields
Away from all the city folk
They built the trains in the fields
Away from all the city smoke

They built the trains in the fields
Where the poor sheep do graze
They built the trains in the fields
Where the poor sheep do gaze

They built the trains in the fields
To hide the noise and smoke
They built the trains in the fields
As if it was some kind of joke

The sheep are deaf
The grass is dead
The trees are black
Along the train track.

Good commentary on a difficult subject and still a very current issue.
