Meet Fear, my new friend.

entry picture

How long did it take me to work this out?

We’re faced with fear in a lot of things we do. Right?

Applying for a new job, a new relationship,

competing for business, taking a driving test….

Now take a deep breath. And relax.

Shift your thoughts from being afraid to ‘focusing’ on fear.

Acknowledge it and make fear part of the journey.

You'll see that it’s less intimidating. Actually, make fear your friend.

You may fail but the fact that you tried to

change the way you change means you’ve won!

M. K. thank you for your flattering comments.
WOL is a wonderful community and if I write anything that touches lives I am delighted.

Spiritual interaction with other members here is very important to me.

Om Shanti Cynthia.

May you be blessed. Thank you for the valuable comment.
I love your bit on the spiritual intercourse. How true.

On another note when we speak we are saying something we already know. But when you listen you are learning something new. Creating a union and the dance begins!

There is a divine in each of us.

Good advice, expertly put. I would quit when ahead, myself, finishing the poem with 'make fear part of the journey. You'll see that it's less intimidating.' I realise you have used the final lines as the actual teaching essence, but I do wonder why. I think the point is already clearly made. The listener will be astute, or not. And no further 'words' will make a difference.

I had an amazing interchange with an Iraqui sheik once. And his emphasis was clearly on the idea that the listener/student/disciple must also rise to meet the mind of the spiritual instructor. Or no spiritual intercourse has really taken place.
