Merci, Monsieur Claude

Au, mon cher, Claude!

I have longed for this moment

ready with this eager pen, this expectant paper

and donned my prettiest words

to express to you

the first time ever I saw

Water Lillies

It pulled,

(not so gently),

emotion from me

till it spilled over out of new eyes

the greens, the blues, the peeking pinks

the movement, the quiet, definite, almost imperceptible

the light smudges and wise swipes

nature, not exagerated

but real

which made it all the more

the more

a complete pastiche

brimming with ebullience

visually redolent

an award to every sense

my spirit deliciates in each encounter

abask in all its light

and

pure warmth

my heart bellows appreciation

backwards across time

I beheld love

Thank you, guys! And, yes Cynthia it was for extra emphasis. Thank you both again.

Stu is spot on. Well done. 'peeking pink' is superb.

Do a quick spell check.

I think the first line should probably be: 'Mon cher Claude' but maybe not, if you intend extra emphasis.

Wouldn't say a word if I didn't think it was so good.
