Veni, Vidi, Vino

entry picture

Wafting in blissful solitude

I dine on spicy chorizo and the bouquet of warm red.

The glimmer of a lantern catches our fleeting looks

sip by sip.

Detached at first, then eager.

The mirage morphs into reality

as the angelic senorita abandons her corner

as we drink of each other’s mysteries,

prompting another merlot.

We wake up to the rain and the smell of jasmine.

Wish the world was always as perfect as this.

Raj, I like this, rich and sensual (but no chocolate for dessert, I see!). You have been posting some interesting poems recently, keep them coming.

Ha ha ha. Well-spotted.
Now I've got to deal with the bloody cravings for snacking constantly.

you've packed a lot of lovely smells into this poem Raj - a veritable smorgasbord for the senses - but have you forsaken the cigs for chorizo and merlot? Watch the waistline ?
