On judging ignorance...
Ignorance is easy, Ashley..it is the path of least resistance. Therefore, it would seem that the ignorant would be the simplest for anyone who chooses accumulation of knowledge to confront. Though, there seems an utter lack of fortitude among the ignorant to stand on any confrontational grounds other than that of the likes of defending their local university football team. Who can argue with a dead man?
I get the urge to pick a fight every once in a while, for sure. Even so, I know that ignorance, along with all other opponents, requires its own specific strategy.
Be sure that patience is a virtue in the face of tempestuousness. The tempest and passion is where the heart comes in. Know that you'll never escape the judgment of your fellow human beings for your passion. That is passion's price.
For me, a very thought-provoking piece. Forgive me please, if I've gone on too long and too deeply. I really don't mean to sound preachy..it's simply me going over things I've learned through the years in response to your writing.
