Chemistry is a mirage

entry picture

A static look across the labyrinth of heads

mutates into instant chemical reaction.

Humour my trusted catalyst stimulates a reaction. Again.

Perfect. She moved in. With me.

Chemistry’s changed. In my face all the time.

Stepping on toes is the new dynamic. Lettuce layers reveal new irritants.

Chemistry morphs into annoyance.

Off to buy another bed.

Friend says you gotta earn your stripes with chemistry. Takes practice.

What?

Like winning your first grand slam.

Looking for new space to practice this elusive art.

It’s about learning to grow together. Really?

My reality has shifted.

Sometimes I feel like a motherless child.
