Young local poet Rosie Wilkinson, pictured, is taking over as co-ordinator at Write Out Loud Marsden, the regular open-floor night that meets at Marsden library on the third Wednesday of each month.

Julian Jordon, the co-founder of Write Out Loud, who is stepping down from his role as organiser and compere of the Marsden event, said: “As well as my work as director of Write Out Loud nationally, I shall still be supporting local events, in fact helping to build on the magnificent success of the Marsden jazz festival poetry jam, and we’ve pitched for funds to help with the room rental issue at the library.”

Rosie said she was “really glad (if a tad daunted) to be stepping into the role”. The next Write Out Loud Marsden will be on Wednesday 16 November, starting at 7.30pm, with the optional theme of “recycling”. More details and Map
