Write Out Loud's open mic poetry jam at Marsden - and all that jazz!

entry picture

This weekend sees the Write Out Loud poetry jam at Marsden, which takes place, during the town’s famed jazz festival, every year on Sunday morning between 11am and 1pm at The Railway pub. Poets travel from near and far to take part in the free open mic, so don’t miss the chance to join us!  In the eclectic tradition of this event poems can be jazz-related, music-related - or about anything you like. The date this year is Sunday 9 October, with the compere, as always, Write Out Loud’s founder and organiser of Write Out Loud Marsden, Julian Jordon.  This year promises to be extra special, with an appearance at the poetry jam by the Wiganaires, pictured, offering super harmonies in the style of the Andrews Sisters. Afterwards you can explore the delights of the jazz festival. A perfect day awaits …
