Advice from Dad

Follow your dreams, dad said as he sent me to school
You can be a doctor or a prosecutor
An important artist or army sharpshooter
Wanting a family or single and so cool

As long as you're happy, and thriving on life's bet
That the values installed will not fade in background
And you'll be good person, honest with judgement sound
Wanting to give yourself so people won't forget

Go have some adventures, travel the world and beds
Know what you want from you, and the person that shares
Your rich ammunition might produce climbing stairs

But know this, dad ended, I'll be here on the treads
Giving you my sound mind to listen to stories
And giving you advice yet knowing boundaries.
