Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Lost in translation

"The youth is spoiled
Their morals are askew
They have been influenced by the West
People are talking, what shall we do?! "

Now stop. Just consider
You come from a world ruled by gossip
Your own people watching, waiting
Someone will slip up eventually
And when they do, heads will shake
Tongues will cluck and shame will be felt

Now consider your Youth
They have come from this place
The place you came, for money and fame,
You wanted respect
But instead look what they get
Parents who judge them
In a society that taught them not to care
But all the while made them outcast

It's no surprise they lost their way
They're being forced to read the map of a different country
While they travel in this one.
So take away your 'shame'
The Youth aren't to blame
