Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Tears tears and love.

Today just now was a day of remembrence by Candlelighters for the lost children of cancer.

Too many words

In the head

Write them

Down

Before bed.

A day of heroes

Hundreds of heroes

And hugs

And a Hero

Juxtapose

My cowardice

Beautiful brave

Liv

Who came to give

With hundreds of

Heroes and love

Too many to

Really name

All the same

Visions of beauty

Eyes on fire

Flames put out

Countless tears

Names one after

Another.

A room washed in

Shared love

And loathing

Today love won

Tomorrow….

But just for

Today

Unbelievable friendship

Unlimited kinship

Family gathered

Professional left at

The door of compassion

Doctors and nurses and carers

Who

Fought and fought and fought

Then came

On a day off

We don’t know

None of us

Comprehend

The emotion

Was too mighty

Too immense

Too much for this

The power

Of the emotion

That can’t be

Named

By any words

In any language

Or culture

Or creed

Everyone

Was everything

Today

The world

“David Kay”

I nearly

Vomited with

My intensity

And fear

But so much

Beauty near

Its wrong

To name my name

Amongst the

Names that

Floated into the sky

With colours

Whirling

In torment

Suddenly I swear

The carriers shaped

And fell into

The pattern

Of lifes helix

That was

My sign

For the day.
