McMillan, Miller, Paterson and Rollinson on Costa poetry prize shortlist

Andrew McMillan’s debut collection physical (Jonathan Cape), which recently won the Fenton Aldeburgh first collection award, has been shortlisted for the Costa poetry award. The three other shortlisted poets are: Kate Miller, The Observances (Carcanet); Don Paterson, 40 Sonnets (Faber & Faber); and Neil Rollinson, Talking Dead (Jonathan Cape). The three Costa poetry judges are poet Julia Copus; poetry critic Adam Newey; and Melanie Prince, co-owner of the Poetry Bookshop in Hay-on-Wye. More details
