Fear

I caught

The fear

In your eye

Around the

Corner

It was trying

To hide

Too late

Too fast

Wearing A

Mask

I caught

A glimpse

Of your closing

Lid

Of what to expect

I don’t know

Yet

And as your

Eyes go wide

I’m closing my

Eyes

As to

What may

Happen next

Less is more as they say, and the sparseness of this poem gives it all the more power,
best wishes, Steve

No need for apologies, David. The fact that people read, relate to and comment on any of my work is very much appreciated. I wish I got to control the productivity but, as you 'k' feckin now, it doesn't quite work they way with me!
