The closing date is nearing for the Poetry Society’s 2015 National Poetry Competition – you need to get your entry in by 31 October.  Last year’s winner was Roger Philip Dennis, an artist and tutor, with ‘Corkscrew Hill Photo’, which judge Roddy Lumsden said “seemed to contain a strange mix of naivety and complexity”. The judges this year are David Wheatley, Esther Morgan and Sarah Howe. The first prize winner will receive £5,000, publication in Poetry Review and the chance to read at some of the UK's top literature festivals. More details
