On the TV, on the phone,
by the station, at the door,
I encounter someone selling
certainty. But I’m not sure.
I don’t buy it; I desist;
I tender a dismissive wave,
complaining, what I really want,
I cannot buy, or steal, or save.
Great little poem. I smiled at 'I tender....' such a good choice of word in this context.
