We are not who we are

Out those blue eyes

Out the yellow skies

Out the colours of our love

Of whom we’ve become

We never needed them

But in we went

In we discovered

We found what we hated

In we dated

In we believed

-In we lied

In we laughed – we went high

Above all, in we lost ourselves

We lived in pride

We cried in power

A thought of being better

More than the rest

One day came to change

Who we were

It talked to the rest

Ashamed of us, we blinded hearts

It changed who I was

You laugh it out

Just a joke to you

We fought inside

Our paradise

We said goodbyes in ways no one

But us will understand

I cried inside miserable from my selfishness

I hated who you made of me, I realized

A plastic bag burned and molded to your desires

I burnt in your life

but revived

I went out to the black and whites

I went to the low parts

My high just a memory, just a colourful light

I found where we got lost

Everyone laugh at me, at us

Out I went

Out I lost my pride

Out I could not think of being more

No more than the less

I was the fish in a cow-shed

I didn’t fit in – out

Out I saw no blue eyes

Out I understood…

We are not who we are
