entry picture

Clare Pollard will be performing Ovid’s Heroines, based on her free verse translation of Ovid’s Heroides, a series of letter poems in the voices of women from Greek and Roman myth, at the Gregson community and arts centre, Moorgate, Lancaster, on Sunday 8 March at 8pm.  In the show women – including Medea, Penelope and Ariadne – who are brave, bitchy, sexy, horrifying, heartbreaking and surprisingly modern, address the men they love.
