Tongue Fu helps Write Out Loud's Gig Guide pass 12,000 listings milestone

entry picture

Chris Redmond’s Tongue Fu night of spoken word, poetry and song has helped Write Out Loud’s famous Gig Guide to notch up its 12,000th listing - in the site’s 10th anniversary year.

The regular home of Tongue Fu, reviewed at the Edinburgh fringe festival in 2013, is at Rich Mix, in Shoreditch, east London. It’s been going for eight years, almost as long as Write Out Loud.

Write Out Loud’s Gig Guide is masterminded by its editor, David Andrew.  From small beginnings in Bolton in the north-west of England, the site, founded by Julian Jordon, currently averages around 25,000 unique visitors each month. Other countries in the top 10 of those who visit the site are the US, India, Australia, Canada, Germany, China, New Zealand, Ukraine, and France.
