Call for 'heritage' podcasts by spoken word artists

entry picture

Performance poetry organisation Apples and Snakes is looking for spoken word artists to create podcasts with the theme of “heritage” for a monthly slot with Hive Live Radio, which is based in Bede’s World, a living museum in South Tyneside. Apples and Snakes say: “We are looking for proposals that take the broad theme ‘heritage’ as their starting point, but that go somewhere unexpected and interesting. What is your personal heritage – your family, community, town, language, poetic inheritance? What is our collective heritage, as poets and humans? What will the world inherit from our actions now?” You can find other Apples and Snakes podcasts here. The deadline is 23 February. More details
