Jekyll, Hyde, Me

Jekyll, Hyde, Me

She blindly followed my lead
Assuredly that it was really me
That kind fellow who held her hand
That boy who grew into a man
She stayed by my side never wanting to leave
But she is unaware of my split personalities
She tells me she loves me but the Jekyll that I am
Loved her just a little, I hope she understands
That Hyde and I are the same kind of man
She brings out the Hyde in me when I'm weak
She brings out the strength that I need
She unlocks the door, she is the key
To the pain and rage I have in store, she sets me free
And out from beneath my skin, I won't need to Hyde
From the truth and the lies I've been running from all my life
In her arms is where I want to die
Finally, I found someone who really needs
Jekyll, Hyde, and the real me.
