Australia's Uneven Floor seeks poetry 'with soul'

entry picture

Write Out Loud is launching a new feature in which we let readers know about calls for submissions out there. Just to emphasise our global reach, here’s the first  …

A poetry “blogzine” based in Western Australia is looking for poems, readers and social media supporters. Uneven Floor publishes poems in text, audio, video and image format, and says previously published poems are more than welcome. Its detailed submission guiidelines include these tips: "We are interested in all genres of poetry, from traditional to experimental ... we want well-written poetry with soul, with X-factor ...Is your poem about poets, poems, poetry, writing, literature or language? If so, please don't send it to Uneven Floor. Save it for your creative writing thesis ... we're biased toward poets from Western Australia and new and unsung poets. However, we do publish work by better-known poets and poets from elsewhere, so if that's you, feel free to send something."
