Been left from when you
Cleaned the car out.
Six months ago.
Shall we look and see what treasures it holds?
A single black sock with a giraffe on it.
A shiny chocolate wrapper.
Year old shopping recipts and half a dozen car park tickets;
Are these the missing work expenses?
A pen; it's leaked; staining the bag
and a leaflet for that National Trust House.
A broken hair clip; stretched hairbands; two forgotten sanitary towels.
A handbag containing an empty purse;
An old train ticket; supermarket receipts
and a bottle of nail varnish that won't open.
Two slightly battered, fold up umbrellas
And a packet of soup, from that TV chef.
Would you be good and put these away?

Or maybe, just throw the lot.
