It's raining

It was pissing down when I left home today

Clouds the darkest shade of grey

The blackest of the black

The rain at full force of attack

None of the comforting

Soft pitter pat

But a diving crescendo

Bursting on the earth

Bouncing off brollies

Bouncing off cars

Wiper blades moving quickly

Swishing back and forth

Arriving at my place of work

The day has been quickly formed

No more rain

But clouds still deadly

Grey and black

An endless drifting tide

Too much, to large

Not able to halt

Stop

 Take stock

Catch your breath

The sky

The day

My mind now fifty shades of black

It’s quite amazing how quickly

Blue moves to black

On to grey and then back

Maybe it’s just my melancholic nature

But sometimes it’s hard

To remain ecstatic

Trying not to become too

 Melodramatic

Because it seems to be forever

Thank goodness

Forever is only for today

And tomorrows black

is just a paler shade of grey

It is still amazing how the forces of nature can influence the mood of the human mind.
The autumnal equinox and Goretex have a lot to answer for Martin.
