Yes or No, Elvis McGonagall is on his way to Worcester

entry picture

Whatever the result of today's independence vote, Scottish performance poet Elvis McGonagall is due to appear at the Hive in Worcester on Wednesday 24 September at 7.30pm – and he is likely to have something to say about the outcome, too. You can read his contribution to the independence debate here. The event is being staged by Worcestershire LitFest and Fringe. Since Elvis is based in the rural south of England these days, he probably won’t need a passport. More details

McGonagall and McGonigal on the same bill? Has that ever happened before?

Guest poets on the night will be Fergus McGonigal, current Worcestershire Poet Laureate, Claire Walker, runner-up Worcestershire Poet Laureate 2014, and Maggie Doyle, Worcestershire Poet Laureate Emeritus. Should be an excellent evening.
