The world is changing

Time will show

The wars we’re waging

The mass confusion

The shock and fear

A global tension

I’m losing faith now

Why is our wisdom

Lost in the waves?

Is there a reason

For thousands of graves?

 

Every day is a new beginning

The hours bring what may

The same choices repeating

Come another wasted day

 

Where is my new life?

Just an extension of the last

Compounding strife

A prisoner of my past

 

Fuck it all

Prove to myself

My love for life

Is never-ending

A constant lust for more

To fight through strife

Never surrendering

The currents pull us from shore

For life I’ve paid

For sins I’ve made

And found the way

To live unafraid
