Mark this: open mic event celebrates Beyond Graffiti project for Yorkshire milestones

entry picture

Write Out Loud founder Julian Jordon is compering a free open mic event at Oakwell Hall, Birstall, Batley, on Saturday 12 July from 12 noon to 4pm as part of the Milestone Society’s Beyond Graffiti project, which showcases waymarkers carved by young people and artworks by local artists. It’s a drop-in poetry afternoon with a travelling theme and an exhibition of arts and crafts celebrating stone in the landscape, so bring your own or others' poems on the theme, or any other poems, or just come to listen and allow enough time to browse the exhibition. The project is the brainchild of Jan Scrine. More details and Map
