Love is what we should all seek to invest

Our time with treasured ones with whom we are blessed

Value true love above all else in this life

Eternal bonds should bind husband and wife

In time we learn love can never be hurried

So do not rush, nor indeed become worried

The ideal one is searching for you too

He or she will someday come into your view

Each then knowing their wait is over at last 

Growing ever closer together, loneliness past

Reaching ever for the other in times of woe

Ending all of their days with an embracing glow

Always thanking their lucky stars that they met

Their tomorrows will surely bring their best days yet

Each will nurture memories that together they make

So as to keep their joys safe for their futures sake

Toasting each other at every anniversary with pride

Those that celebrate love should never need to hide 

Heartfelt expressions of all that they now share

In a lifetime together filled with real loving care

Nothing can rival the value of two hearts entwined
