It's National Poetry Month: read all about it, says Winston Plowes

It’s National Poetry Month in the US and Canada – and for a lot of poets in the UK, too, who will be striving throughout April to produce a poem a day, using a wild variety of prompts.

Winston Plowes is aiming to conjure up a daily poem sourced from the text of local newspapers, and based on a method espoused by the Found Poetry Review

Winston said: “April is going to be one busy month. I am one of 78 poets from seven countries taking part in ‘Oulipost’. Every day in April I will create an experimental poem based on the constraints of the Oulipost poets. All my words will be sourced from newspapers.”
