Stormshelter Playback

entry picture

Clouds sweep past the portal
Blue intersects the grey, a swirling square
And the wires turn to rust
All currents without feeling, blackened dull
The crates shifted, piles topple over
A dog barks, rough knife twist inward
Incessant whilst chasing tails, ideals in the rain
Over rooftops the projectile lifts
Over and above, destination unknown
Abandoned by the south tower
The pruning, it fades
Into shapes against a white screen
Into a back-room, no gain
No clarity behind the clatter of the torrent
Sheets and flashes, bundled up - dosed numb
Each corner burst open, the flooded pipes ran
Over the clearing clouds, the storm-soaked kite
Sinks back down, earthbound, falters
Observers turn the blind eye
Through the streets the squabbles break out
As day turns to night
The twisted remnants vanish from sight.
