entry picture

George Szirtes and Helen Mort will be leading new workshops for poets run by Writers’ Centre Norwich early in the new year. A Masterclass series (£240/£200 for three workshops) for advanced poets includes a weekend workshop with internationally renowned poet George Szirtes and a class on structure and form led by Helen Mort, whose first collection, Division Street,  has been shortlisted for the TS Eliot prize. A second poetry set of workshops, the Environment Series (£180/£150 for three workshops), with Deryn Rees-Jones, Hannah Jane Walker, and David Morley, will have participants writing in a train travelling across Norfolk and in the grounds of Norwich cathedral. Each workshop can be booked individually if required. WCN has also organised a free Writing for Performance Workshop led by Kayo Chingonyi, and more spoken word workshops will be confirmed in the new year.
