Will I ever

Will I ever see him again,

the man with the laughter in his eyes.

Will I ever feel his touch again,

the man with the magic hands.

Will I ever breathe the same air as him,

share the same wine glass,

the man with hope in his heart.

Will I ever watch him sleeping

and caress his weary head,

the man with the child inside.

Will I ever hear him speak,

his beautiful poetry out loud.

Will I ever laugh with him,

split my sides because of him.

Will I ever touch his face,

the man with kindness,

living in every space.

Will I ever walk with him again,

the man with the lanky gait.

Will I ever kiss him again,

the man with the golden lips.

Will I ever hold hold him again,

the man with the sincerest embrace.

Will I ever,

Will I always love him,

Will I ever.
