entry picture

Carol Ann Duffy is to judge this year’s Poetry Business book and pamphlet competition, which offers a £500 cash prize to four winners and the chance of publication by Smith|Doorstop Books.  Four first stage winners are selected and have the chance to submit a full-length manuscript to the second round of the competition, in which one of them can win book publication. The three first-stage winners receive pamphlet publication.  All four winners will receive an equal share of £2,000, and have a launch reading hosted by the Poetry Business.  Entry costs £25, or £20 for anyone who is a Friend of the Poetry Business, a subscriber to The North magazine, and/or a member of the Poetry Society.  The last post / online deadlines are 29 November / 2 December.
