1: Submissions must arrive before October 30th 007. Later arrivals will be disqualified. 
     2: Please ensure that your name, contact details and title/s of your work are on your entry 
form or a short, covering letter. They must not appear on the same sheet as your 
poem/s. 
3: Poems/verses may be on any theme, as long as they are comic and do not exceed 48 
lines. 
4: All poems must be in standard black typeface on plain white A4 paper, of which only 
one side per sheet is used. First or second class postal entries only, please. 
    5: Two copies of each poem must be submitted with the entry form, and/or covering letter. 
   Please use separate forms with each entry – photocopied blank forms may be used. 
       6: Make Postal Order or cheque payable to The Inklings and send to the secretary (address 
below.) 
    7: Special request: Please do not send entries by Recorded or Special Delivery, but please 
make sure of paying the correct postage. Entries with insufficient postage will not be 
accepted from Royal Mail. Please do not tape up to the point of being impregnable. 
E-mail entries will not be accepted. 

8: Special Note: If the rules do not state 'you can' – then you can't! 
The winner and runner-up will be informed by telephone/post and the results 
will be posted on The Inklings Website (see bottom of form).
