License to play

entry picture

License to play,

not get too serious,

just have lots of fun.

Losing you was too much to bear,

it even made me a little crazy !

So I applied my make up,

styled my hair,

dressed in my finest party frock,

wearing a smile to hide the sadness

and painted the town red.

I went night clubbing here,

night clubbing there,

drinking vodka,

smoking cigerettes,

living it up without a care,

whilst feeling despair,

not always returning home,

bringing disgrace.

License to play,

not get too serious,

yet,

I'd swap it all,

for one more day,

to say what I never said,

whisper in your ear,

I love you.

But guess with you gone,

it will only ever be fun,

hope you can hear me ( I believe in God, so I believe HE can hear me),

you were the one.

NB My verses are written around a real life situation of my own, then at least 80 % is purely made up, creative writing.

For my catharsis I go into the fields, the park, church, listen to music.

Please don't anyone be offended by this foot note.

License to play came about after listening to 'License to kill',song by Shirley Bassey.

After losing my soul mate I spent 12 years living in nothing I can describe as hell, it was my son that gave me,my will to live again,God love him x
