Sun Dogs

Aurora:

Born luminous in bands of dactyl light
beginning, I am  -
fresh upon your eyelids,
the genesis of ambition.

I claim the day; your inseparable calendar,
pearl cupid thoughts;
what will be, will be
in the design of oyster paint, one morning promises.

 Meridian:

Impaled, my wet lank claws disquieted,
stroking your forehead; beads of glass. Light, nutrition;
a globe of wet suspensions -
a thirst you dread, for who holds you so well?

Cracked; your quivering tongue,
welt hard for sun becomes
cockroach splinters of the river burnt,
psoriasis puckers of cots; children of dust.

Cimmerian:

I am too coveted, close me in –
a sun jaded with incense,
these beings we are on the horizon;
spectacles onto men

for mad dogs will rise,
each serpentine willing,
destroying the sky with
mythical voyage.

Great idea Sun Dogs. Anyone who gets psoriasis into a piece of work get my respect.

As always, well done Marianne.
