August 31 deadline for Ryedale book festival competition

The deadline is 31 August for entries to Ryedale book festival’s poetry competition, which is open to writers resident in Yorkshire, Humber and Teesside.  The judge will Andy Humphrey, compere of York's Speakers' Corner performance night. Prizes of £75 and £50 are up for grabs along with a special Ryedale prize for the best entry from Ryedale district. There is also a free-to-enter category for young writers aged 9-16.
