Deadline nears for £5,000 Bridport prize

The 31 May deadline is nearing for those still intending to submit poems for the £5,000 Bridport prize, judged this year by Wendy Cope. More details. Meanwhile the equally valuable £5,000 National Poetry Competition is now open for entries, with a deadline of 31 October. It will be judged by Julia Copus, Matthew Sweeney, and Jane Yeh. you could double your money with the £10,000 Manchester poetry prize, to be judged by Bernard O’Donoghue, Adam O’Riordan, and Fiona Sampson. The deadline is 30 August on this one.
