Hearty congratulations from all at Write Out Loud to our reviews editor, Frances Spurrier, who has won the Cinnamon Press poetry collection award. Her collection, Pilgrim’s Trail, will be published by Cinnamon next year.  Cinnamon Press editor Jan Fortune said: “Frances' work grabbed our attention and held it: beautifully turned phrases, visceral images in precise language, lyrical and well-controlled lines and the ability to create haunting moments in time made this collection one we are delighted to be publishing.” Many of Frances's poems in the collection were perfected during her studies at Kingston University - first on the Creative Writing MA course and later on the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, which she completed in 2012. Her poems have appeared in print magazines HQ, Staple, 14, Reach and South, as well as online and in various anthologies, including one forthcoming from Eyewear Publishing.
