thats what tears are for

that’s what tears were made for

to be mocked
to be mopped
and to roll
on any bone
on any chiselled cheek
any one sentient
anyone weak but proud
to let it out
emotion
you could use your finger tip
make a dimple
and arrest it
halfway down
like playing a childhood game
of window pane
rolling rain
games
a racing heart
as it all pours out
alongside
someone special
in which to share
for now its me
just as easy
to be you there
we could take turns
crying
just as long as we share
something like this
tenderness
make special memories
no matter what the pain.

I connect especially with these lines:

'as it all pours out
alongside
someone special
in which to share'

'we could take turns
crying
just as long as we share
something like this
tenderness
make special memories
no matter what the pain.'
