credit crunch prediction

seems I predicted the credit crunch, y i k e s

Paul (admin) have we any record of me reading this anywhere in 2006?

Good and proper

We got you tied up good and proper
We bagged yet anther high St shopper
We want your soul, your life, your loose change copper
We leave you sick like a big cheese whopper
Our plastic cards are poverty stoppers
And our high street promotion girls
Are real jaw droppers
Sign up now it won’t take a sec
Ignore the small print and what the heck
It’s a monthly payment and quick credit check
Then watch the post for a paper trek
The letterbox flutter like the hairs on your neck
As more plastic arrives to stack in your deck
You deflect curious questions from the spouse hen peck
Crammed in-between the shimmer and sheen
Crammed in-between
The style magazine
The clever and contorted
The credit card dream
More shopping please
More things I don’t need
More tits and temptation
More glamour and greed
More plastic more shopping
More spending more spree
More oblivious behaviour
At the top of the tree
But with shaky foundations
You’ll stop feeling free
Then comes the day when the cash is due
But you can’t seem to dissect
The envelopes glue
It stays sealed like your lips
cuz you know what the wife would do
A victim with dropped guard
Misplaced like a glass shard
Pushed out in the back yard
A man with cash scar
A kid with a fast car
All fell for the Apr
All fell for the high St.
All blonde, boobs and high heeled feet
All plastic smiles and white teeth
Those graduated brain box advertising men
Already hollow already Zen
As they line up another golden goose hen
Tempting and teasing knowing just when
To crawl from the pits of the media den
the adverts, the telly and all it preaches
the Pamela Anderson’s with arse like peaches
performance cars with tyre that screeches
in the living room it confidently  reaches
god help our kids for what it teaches
god help us all for what it leeches
tin opener, microwave
hire purchase
close shave
credit card credit grave
financial pressure head cave
the figures that misbehave
the shame on yourself late payment waive
were Made homeless for our non paying ways

Liquidated, bankrupt written off with a pen
Its all crashing down
All crashing down
All screams and frowns
All pilled up antidepressant painted clown like smiles
Drug us , blank it all out
The law men coming to chuck us all out
Good,  glad to be rid of you all
Money mad maniacs
Greedy and money mad
Credit crunch
and credit bad
munch your free lunch
boys and girls
we’ve all been bad boys and girls
