Five Shadows on the Floor

Five Shadows on the Floor

Frank was a wanted man
He had broken somebody's law
But he didn't take shit from no one
Especially five shadows on the floor

Charlie and his boys were waiting
For Frank in the corner of the bar
Amy was wiping glasses when
She heard the roar of Frank's car

She got an old fashioned glass ready
Because Frank always had those
Then Frank walked in unaware
Of Charlie and his five shadows

She said, 'Frank, you look hungry,
'Like you ain't eaten in a while'
He said, 'I am pretty baby,
'But only hungry for your smile'

She said, 'that's off the menu'
But he didn't take it as a diss
'In that case,' he continued
'I'll just settle for a kiss'

He moved in slow
And she let his cold lips warm her
But a whisper warned him of
The five shadows in the corner

He turned around to see ten eyes
Burning inside five silhouettes
He felt the room get smaller
And then he lit a cigarette

He stared into their eyes
And blew them a smokey kiss
If they were gonna shoot frank from there
They were always gonna miss

They got up and started walking
Towards Frank with haste
But Frank pulled out a his .45
He put each motherfucker in his place

Every man there went down
There would be bloodstains on the floor
They were as flat and as still
As five shadows on the floor
