Never be afraid to say what you think

Even if its with or without a drink

Smile and be honest it’s the best way to be

Be yourself speak the truth don’t be a victim watch and see

Gang culture, drugs, knives and guns

Whatever has happened to having some fun

Why is the world angry at each other

Settling a dispute with “ that lads mother”

As a child growing up the 80’s were the best

The music, the dance, the culture…that vest!

Lager, wine cider and black

Not that stuff you line up like a track

Shove that up your nose

Swallow that pill

Don’t brush that dust

Off that windowsill

Society has changed, people have too

Manners and politeness seem relatively new

I cant understand why they act this way

Im standing up now and fighting to have my say

I enjoy a drink a dance a laugh

Why do some lads walk round with that “staff”

Thinking their as hard as nails as they go

Don’t they understand they could just say NO…

Chippys and sweetshops, corners galore

Lads and gangs gather some more

Intimidating, humiliating unnecessary to see

A community swallowed up within this society

Why should this be the norm that we witness

Don’t let our youth go ahead and dismiss this

A future that can be lived in harmony

Not using a weapon for all to see

The police and the law say their here to protect

Their hands are tired in this cultural sect

Our community is dying before our eyes

Stand up be tall, be heard don’t sigh

A weapon does not solve the dispute over there Look put it away Please don’t share

Our kids need security not violence to see

Growing up into adults as kind as can be

Vision disturbed, paranoia too

Drugs cant be right don’t see it through

Say NO to this culture we seem to adopt

Finally please let it be stopped

Don’t be afraid to ever say NO

Be strong and walk away just go

A weak man carries a weapon in life

Drugs taken randomly just cause strife

Leave the weapons for those who are trained

Our soldiers already lead a life so strained

Guns solve nothing its proven time after time

Lives taken innocently surely it’s a sign

My conclusion I hear you say “Go ahead what?”

My answer is it must be stopped

Drugs and violence wicked beyond

Our future generation must understand this is wrong
